About Us

On June 9, 1877, the First Methodist Church of Greenbrier, Arkansas was established. They had permission to meet once a month at the Masonic Lodge Hall. There were five to six families who met and helped to put into motion the great church that we have today.
In 1891 a parcel of land was bought for $50, but burned down on Thanksgiving Day in 1910. The congregation did not give up and rebuilt the church in 1911. Again tragedy struck on Thanksgiving Day, 1926 - but again the congregation rebuilt.
The church continued to grow and a new location was found for the church in 1979, which is were it stands today. And we are still growing with expansion in the works. We hope you will join us and help us grow even more.
